Dirt’s first touch—where seeds remember their shape.
What is on this site This site is about the quiet work of growing things—plants that thrive, seeds that remember their shape, and the small, stubborn lessons the soil teaches.
Founder & Editor
I spent my childhood summers digging in my grandpa’s garden in rural Ohio, learning that the best lessons aren’t found in books—they’re in the dirt, the rain, and the stubborn little sprouts that refuse to grow right.
Now, I’m here to share the joy of gardening with you, whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or someone who’s just discovered the magic of watching a seed become a plant.
This site is where I pass along the tricks I’ve picked up over the years, the mistakes I’ve made (and how to avoid them), and the simple, honest pleasure of working with plants.
